Our first two days of 5th grade are complete! As students return to school for the first full week of school this year, I look forward to delving deeper into all our areas of study. I have noticed such genuine enthusiasm for learning and I am grateful that all students seem to have such hope and intrigue for the year - for themselves, others and their learning endeavors.
It is important to me that student work, news and assignments are communicated clearly. For this reason, I aim to post an updated student planner version each day at the end of the day, so that you see a copy of the assignments and news. Of course, students will be coming home with their planners each night, but sometimes it is helpful to have a copy of the original, just in case something is missed or the planner stays at school for any reason.
At the end of the day, students also check their mail folders in the back of the room for headlines and notes home from the office. You can expect them to be coming home with these school-wide letters on most Thursdays and Fridays.
